Welcome to the start of my Political Blog. This blog will be used as a soapbox for my political opinions.
As a nation, these are turbulent political times. If I do not voice my opinion on the issues, what right do I have to call myself an American? To not be in tune with the world of politics is to not be in tune with the heart of our country.
So, with that said, lets get this bad boy on the road to success.
President Obama has revealed what he plans for the next budget. He has some lofty goals, in my opinion.
CNN posted an article that i used to get some of this information in my blog.
President Obama plans to keep most of the tax breaks that President Bush had in place when President Obama took office, with exception to those making over $250,000. I find this a little perplexing after watching President Obama made it quite clear during the State of the Union speech that he intended to eliminate tax breaks.
President Obama also has laid aside 734 million dollars to install up to 1,000 new full body scanners in airports in an attempt to tighten airport security. While, this seems like a smart move, I think the money could be better used giving airport security personal better wages and benefits. It a fact of life that when workers are unhappy doing their job that they do not work as hard.
President Obama also has outlined a "financial crisis responsibility fee" that banks will be responsible for paying. If you are me, you are probably wondering what a "financial crisis responsibility fee" really is. Well, CNN had a video explaining what it is. The video is located in this blog.

While all the stuff President Obama is trying to do with this budget is admirable, we shall see if congress will push it through as is. I honestly do not think that will happen. President Obama seems to be at odds with Congress and that cannot help his cause.
